Work Force Experience Training with Capital One!

Capital One invited the students who have been participating in the 10 week coding classes at Falling Creek Middle School to a celebration at the Capital One headquarters in Henrico County!

Students were given a tour of the building and all the special perks that come with being a Capital One employee such as their own medical office, gym, bakery, restaurants and cool spaces to work.  Families joined the students for a dinner and awards ceremony.  Student apps were voted on by families to determine the who was to be chosen as “Best Overall”, “Most Creative” and “Most User Friendly”.  Students were recognized on stage with the robot, Penny!

The experience for these students was been amazing!  They learned so much and  Capital One went above and beyond as they gave students Capital One swag which included a book bag, an HD Quad-Core 8 GB Tablet, earbuds, Capital One water bottle and…..
An HP Chrome Book!  The students went wild!!!
It was an incredible experience and we were so very fortunate to have Capital One support our students in this capacity.
Thank you to Marty Bland ,team lead Ryan Herald, and all the folks at Capital One who provided this work force experience training for our students!
