Go-to school snack: Cheezits or Utz Party Mix

My favorite part of the school day: Seeing students in the halls and getting all the hugs, daps and fist pounds.

A student moment that always makes me smile: I have students who constantly ask to take a break with me or eat lunch with me. It makes me smile to know that students see me as a trusted person in the building and want to spend time with me. Building these relationships is the best.

What “showing up” means to me: Showing up to me means being present, not only physically present in the building but emotionally present for these students. The students look forward to seeing me and if they don’t then I definitely hear about it!

One thing I hope every student knows: Share an encouraging message you want students to hear. – I hope every student knows that I am here for them, that I love them and that I want each and every one of them to be successful and be the best they can be.
