Our mission is simple: surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
- We partner directly with Chesterfield County Public Schools to serve students where support is needed most.
- We help students overcome challenges that can stand in the way of learning, from attendance and academic struggles to unmet basic needs and social-emotional concerns.
- We connect students and families with resources, relationships, and opportunities that help them succeed in school and beyond.
- We mobilize more than 1,000 volunteers and community partners each year to strengthen the network of support surrounding Chesterfield students.
CIS-C is proud to be part of the Communities In Schools national network, the largest and most effective dropout prevention organization in the country.
