Go-to school snack: Kind Bars: Almond and Coconut

My favorite part of the school day: My favorite part of the day is seeing those smiling faces first in the morning as the students walk in from the bus. Those quick check-ins make my day!

A student moment that always makes me smile: I have a student who is always so eager to come to school and complete her calendar. She tells me the reason she comes to school is so that she can check in with me and practice her math skills.

What “showing up” means to me: Being present for students means starting every conversation with heart. It means being approachable, listening with care, and making myself available.

One thing I hope every student knows: No matter where you go, lead with your heart. Be the person someone can count on. You never know who might need a helping hand or even a simple smile.
