A student moment that always makes me smile: Something that always makes me smile is when a student who was once quiet or withdrawn begins to open up, say hello in the hallway, or proudly share something they are doing well.

What “showing up” means to me: To me, showing up means being a consistent, caring presence for students, staff, and families. I hope every student knows they are worthy of belonging, opportunity, and support, and that their voice, identity, and
future matter.
